The type of carpet cleaner required depends on the type of carpet and the intended use of the cleaner.
Carpet cleaning aids are available in either liquid or powder form. While most of the cleaning solutions are available as liquid some cleaners and deodorizers are available also in a powder form.
Most of the carpet and rug cleaning solutions are made from chemicals. Natural carpet cleaners have a comparatively lesser availability.
It is generally observed that the chemical based cleaners give a better result and effect than the natural ones. But, in the longer run, it is believed that natural cleaners are less harmful to carpets.
